What can I bring on a really long road trip in a car with my younger sister and two dogs?

Nina asked:

I am moving all the way from Ohio to Alaska, with my mom, 2 dogs, and sister. Don’t ask why we are driving there, my mom just wants an adventure. I know I will be VERY bored most of the way, mostly by my sister or my dogs baking their heads off at strangers passing by. Does anyone have a list for me to do while sitting in the car for such a long time????

Ear phones for Ipod or CD player.

    Good Book to read.

Make a list of all states before leaving and check off each license plate you see.

    A cross word puzzle.

Hard candy, peppermint keeps you calm.

Eat popcorn along the way, keep you calm.

    A game (small electronic type).

Water jug, keep ice in as you stop along the way.

Be sure to have food and water for dogs put in a coffee can with lids. Have leash’s for dogs for potty stops.

Keep wet wipes for “everything”, cool you down, refreshing, doggie drool.

A hint from previous Yahoo person, take a soda can, put 16 pennies in it, if the dogs bark, shake the can and say “no barking”. I haven’t tried it myself but she claims it works.

    A small first aid kit.

A manicure set and polish to do your nails.

Think of the trip as exploring, I enjoy road trips, it feels free and exciting to wonder whats around the next bend.

    Good Luck To You
