I’m going on a cruise there in June. We will be stopping at the following places: Ketchikan, Juneau, Skagway, Glacier Bay, College Fjord and Whittier. Each place we stop we will only be there for one day. Any suggestions would be great!

Whale watching…
Helicopter ride to see the glacier…
I’ll ask my Mom what else since she’s been there last summer.
Wishing you a safe trip and have fun….

Lived in Anchorage for 2 years, didn’t travel around too much but did go to Whittier once. And Seward. I’m guessing some of the places will have cool local bars or clubs to hang out in, there is always fishing (salmon and deep sea), wildlife photography, go to museums, sightseeing and the scenery is so breathtaking, that just being there is awesome. Meet some of the local people and shop. Unless Whittier has changed, there wasn’t much to do there, it was one of those places that ‘you can’t get there from here’ and there really was no where else to go. But the views are spectacular! Enjoy yourself!

Just take in the beauty of everything, there’s more of it than you would think.

You can ‘mush’ like a real iditarod sledder at an excursion from the ship.. check with your cruise line.. they should offer that excursion. If you like dogs that is..
