Vancouver is, but you need to know that if you are driving from Vancouver to California, that is still about a 2 day drive. Flying would be just a few hours.

Vancouver, British Columbia is only about a two hour drive from Seattle, so if you drive to Seattle, it will probably about a 16 hour drive, and if you fly to Seattle, or Vancouver, it will be around 2:15.

Princess Cruises offers a 10 day round trip cruise out of San Francisco and 7 day round trip out of Seattle. There are also 7 day cruises to or from Vancouver that are one way and you must either fly to Alaska and end in Vancouver or vice versa.

If you can start from Vancouver on Princess. You will “waste the time” travelling up from Seattle, or it will be shorter duration and you don’t get to Anchorage (which you must do!).

The No. 1 priority is to make sure you include Glacier Bay. Any cruise that omits this DON’T DO!
